The Foundation for Hispanic Education (TFHE) and Santa Clara University’s Graduate School of Education and Counseling Psychology, in partnership with several convening Silicon Valley school districts, present the 2017 Latino Education Summit: Silicon Valley (LES). The event will take place on May, 13th 2017 at Santa Clara University. LES will identify and discuss bold, transformative approaches for educating Latino students of working poor families in Silicon Valley. The Summit will consist of nationally recognized keynote speaker Kris D. Gutiérrez of UC Berkeley, breakout sessions led by subject matter experts and a community-focused resource fair. Presenters will share research, evidenced-based best practices, and other educational innovations that have been shown to promote the success of Latinos, particularly for English language learners from low-income communities.
